Identity In Color…

“WHO ARE WE BENEATH THE ROLES WE PERFORM?”

My work explores identity, emotion, culture, and the tension between who we are and who the world expects us to be. Through expressive portraiture, abstraction, and bold color, I create images that exist somewhere between recognition and imagination.

BlISS

18 × 18 in. | Acrylic on Wood Panel | Original Artwork

BLISS captures a moment of complete emotional release—a brief state where the noise of the outside world seems to disappear.

With his eyes closed and head slightly raised, the figure appears absorbed in an experience we cannot see but can recognize. The expression suggests peace, satisfaction, and surrender: the feeling of being completely present within a moment.

Rendered primarily in grayscale, the figure is surrounded by an intense field of color, creating a contrast between the quietness of his expression and the energy surrounding him. Loose, expressive marks move throughout the hair while sharper geometric forms construct the face, allowing abstraction and portraiture to exist within the same image.

The title, BLISS, comes directly from the emotional state of the subject—not a place or an object, but the feeling of temporarily needing nothing more than the moment you’re already in.

EUPHORIA
$500.00

Euphoria

18 × 18 in. | Acrylic on Wood Panel | Original Artwork

Euphoria captures the sensation of being completely overtaken by emotion—a moment when feeling becomes more powerful than thought.

Set against an electric blue background, the figure leans backward as flowing white lines move across and around him. These expressive marks suggest an invisible force made visible: energy, sensation, movement, or emotion passing through the body.

The figure is rendered almost entirely in deep blacks and grays, allowing individual features to recede into shadow. Rather than focusing on identity, the composition draws attention to posture and feeling. The contrast between the dark figure, vivid blue field, and fluid white marks creates a visual tension between physical stillness and internal intensity.

The title, Euphoria, describes that heightened emotional state—the instant when you surrender to an experience so completely that everything beyond it seems to fall away.

KAIROS
$925.00

KAIROS

20 × 30 in. | Acrylic on Canvas | Original Artwork

Kairos is a meditation on time—not simply as something measured, but as something experienced.

Three figures occupy the composition, each existing within the same visual space while suggesting different moments, stages, or perspectives. Across their faces are fragments of the language we use to understand time: seconds, hours, cycles, seasons, measurements, and moments. These markings become part of their identities, suggesting that time does not merely pass around us—it leaves its mark upon us.

The title Kairos comes from the ancient Greek concept of time understood as the right, critical, or opportune moment, in contrast to chronos, which describes chronological or measurable time. The painting brings these ideas together. Words associated with measured time cover the figures, while their presence asks the viewer to consider something less measurable: the significance of the moment itself.

Rendered primarily in grayscale with deep, restrained color, the work places human experience at the center of time’s constant movement. The overlapping figures suggest past, present, and future without defining exactly where one ends and another begins.

Kairos asks a simple question:

Are we merely passing through time—or recognizing the moments that matter while we are in them?
